For over 130 years, Chimney Rock Baptist Church has been faithfully proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our desire is to provide worship that honors the Lord and blesses all who gather with us. We invite all ages to join us each Sunday at our 9:00am or 11:00am Service.
Join us at lakeside for Worship at 9:00am every Sunday from Easter through October. The Lakeside Chapel is located beside the Pool Creek Picnic Park at 2724 Memorial Highway. These shorter services offer a unique blend of nature’s beauty, fellowship, praise music, and an inspiring message by Pastor Alex Heafner in an informal environment. Sit in the provided chairs, remain in your car, or enjoy the comfort of your boat while worshipping with us.
When the weather turns cold in November, our Lakeside Service moves inside to our Church Fellowship Hall. The casual service continues at 9:00am each Sunday until returning to the Lakeside Chapel on Easter Sunday morning.
We invite you to join us at 11:00am each Sunday in the Church Sanctuary for our traditional Worship Service led by Pastor Alex Heafner. Our traditional Service embraces a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, welcoming individuals and families of all ages. We blend timeless hymns with inspiring sermons, creating a nurturing space where faith is strengthened, and bonds are formed. Alex Heafner

Rev. Alex Heafner has been our pastor at Chimney Rock Baptist Church since May 2018. Prior to moving to Lake Lure, Pastor Heafner pastored Ijames Baptist Church in Mocksville, NC and Cartersville Baptist Church in Cartersville, VA. Pastor Heafner enjoys watching sports, fishing, hunting, and is a volunteer fireman.
The Scriptures - The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter.
God - There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.
Man - Man is the special creation of God, made in His own image. God created them male and female as the crowning work of His creation. By his free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race.
Salvation - Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
The End Times - God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness.
